Shirley Ruth Ragan was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on August 12, 1921, the youngest of Bill and Madge Ragan's three
daughters. She died Saturday, January 9, 1999.
Shirley was a beautiful lady, with great dignity and grace. Her kindness and caring touched everyone who had the
privilege to know her. She loved poetry and philosophy, history and music. She got much pleasure from her flower
garden, playing bridge and from traveling around the country with John, visiting gardens and historic sites, collecting
dolls
and listening to Barbershop music.
She still lives in the loving memories of her daughter, Judy Ewald and Judy's children, Jennifer and Bryan, and Jennifer's
son, Corey Baber, daughter, Martha Bogen-Garrett and her family, Petie Bogen-Garrett and Eric Bartels, and son, Steve
Garrett.
